Elliptical machines also provide a great cardiovascular workout. Because you can workout your upper and lower body at the same time you can really get your heart rate up quickly. Most come with a variety of different workout programs so they are typically good for the beginner or a serious athlete.
They work well for older people or those with injuries because they don’t strain the joints the way some exercises or exercise machines can. But even though they are low-impact they provide a well-rounded workout.
